Dhanteras Intraday Stock Tips By CapitalHeight

  • Gold fell as markets believed higher rates would hurt demand for the non-yielding asset.
  • Gold sales are likely to be flat this Dhanteras, which is considered as an auspicious day to buy precious metals, due to weak economic environment and poor monsoon, jewellers said. Jewellers also expect demand to be more inclined towards investment related items like coins, bars after launch of three schemes by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last week. Dhanteras, which usually falls two days ahead of the Diwali festival, will be celebrated on Monday this year.
  •  Among other precious metals, platinum fell to a one-month low of $930.50 an ounce. Palladium slid nearly 1 percent, and was trading near a six-week low.
  • The Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan said on Friday bringing down inflation would help stabilise the Indian rupee, while adding he welcomed government efforts to boost economic growth through structural reforms. 
  • Falling for the third straight day, the benchmark BSE Sensex today lost almost 39 points to close at over one-month low of 26,265.24 in a choppy trade today ahead of Bihar election results, which are due Sunday.
  • Asian stocks kicked off the new trading week mixed, mirroring the handover from Wall Street amid weakening commodity prices.
  • The rupee weakened past 66 per dollar for the first time since September 29 as it has opened lower by 65 paise at 66.41 per dollar against 65.76 Friday.

After the massive rally yesterday, the Indian share market opened on a flat ahead of RBI monetary policy review. The Sensex is up 64.51 points at 24749.36 and the Nifty is up 12.85 points at 7375.35. About 491 shares have advanced, 92 shares declined, and 18 shares are unchanged. Hero Motocorp, Tata Steel, NTPC are top gainers while Tata Motors, HUL and ITC are laggards. 
The Indian rupee also opened flat at 59.16 per dollar as against previous day's closing value of 59.15 a dollar.In US, stocks closed narrowly mixed on the first trading day of June, but the Dow and S&P 500 squeezed out gains to finish at fresh highs.
In commodities, Brent and Nymex crude prices fell weighed on by a stronger dollar and recent data showing rising OPEC oil production. From precious metals space gold price is near its weakest since early 2014 as rallying stock markets diverted interest from safe-haven bullion.

The Intraday market has once again opened on a flat note. The Sensex is down 13.46 points at 22494.96, and the Nifty down 6.70 points at 6708.60. About 276 shares have advanced, 125 shares declined, and 16 shares are unchanged. ONGC, NTPC, GAIL, BHEL and ITC are top gainers in the Sensex while HDFC Bank, Wipro, Maruti, Axis Bank and Infosys.
The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 60.04 per dollar versus 60.11 Tuesday. The dollar fell against the currencies of major US trading partners, especially the euro, which rose on data showing a strong European Service Sector.The yen traded near Tuesday's three-week high of 101.48 per dollar and is up 0.5 percent in the past week.
In commodities, NYMEX crude rose as expectations of a build in inventories were undermined by record low stocks at the benchmark's delivery point, while Brent was near flat, weighing the Ukraine crisis against rebounding Libyan supplies. From precious metals space, gold prices hovered around 1310 dollar levels

Today Free Intraday Tips | Live Market Updates: Nifty above 6700

After a mid-week holiday, the Intraday market opened on a higher note. The Sensex is up 75.79 points at 22493.59, and the Nifty is up 15.45 points at 6711.85. About 242 shares have advanced, 53 shares declined, and 13 shares are unchanged.

  • Hero MotoCorp, HDFC Bank, BHEL are top gainers in the Sensex. The Indian rupee opened higher by 10 paise at 60.22 per dollar versus 60.32 Wednesday. The dollar struggled to make any headway, still languishing near a three-week trough against a basket of major currencies as investors stayed on the sidelines ahead of a closely watched US employment report.
  • The Asian Intraday markets drew scant impetus from Wall Street, which closed little changed ahead of the jobs report. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan rose 0.1 percent in early trading, while Japan's Nikkei stock average lost 0.2 percent.
  • In commodities, Brent oil was pressured by lackluster Chinese economic data and expectations for a rebound in Libyan oil exports while US crude also fell on news that stockpiles reached multi-decade highs. 
  • From the precious metals space, gold prices remained flat after a 1 percent cut on Thursday, after the Federal Reserve announced a further cut in its stimulus programme and reiterated its confidence in the US economic outlook despite weak first-quarter growth.
