Today's Stock Cash Market News

           Dragged by global cues the market has opened with severe cuts. The Nifty is down below 8100. The 50-share index is down 72.75 points or 0.9 percent at 8097.30 while the Sensex is down 246.12 points or 0.9 percent at 26389.63.
          The Indian rupee opened lower by 18 paise at 66.94 per dollar on Monday versus 66.76 Friday.
      Spot gold was nearly flat at USD 1,273.36 an ounce by 0105 GMT. Bullion touched a session best of USD 1,278.03, its highest since May 18.
       The Enforcement Directorate (ED) tweeted that it had "attached" properties worth Rs 14.11 billion (USD 210.78 million) in the case involving a loan from state-owned IDBI Bank to Kingfisher to buy properties abroad.
            IDBI Bank does not think restructuring of standard loans could be too negative for banks.
             VECV turned free cash flow positive with Rs 360 crore in FY16. VECV's EBITDA margins rose 80 basis points (bps) annually in FY16 but gross margins declined 100 bps.
            The contract has been awarded from Nepal Electricity Authority (a Government of Nepal Undertaking) vide letter of award for expansion of distribution network in the Western region of Nepal.
          The portfolio being acquired for USD 350 million is a mix of filed ANDAs pending approval and an approved ANDA, and comprised of complex generic products across diverse dosage forms.

The Indian Share market continued to be volatile in afternoon trade. The Sensex declined 36.48 points to 27328.44 and the Nifty fell 11.65 points to 8263.40 while broader markets outperformed benchmarks. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 0.5 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively. Advancing shares outnumbered declining ones by a ratio of 1461:1165 on the BSE.
Bajaj Finance surged more than 5 percent after reporting more than 40 percent year-on-year growth in profit and net interest income for July-September quarter. Equity benchmarks extended losses in last hour of trade. The Sensex declined 95.82 points to 27269.10 and the Nifty fell 28.95 points to 8246.10. About 1356 shares have advanced, 1331 shares declined, and 172 shares are unchanged on the BSE.
Tata Motors, NTPC, TCS, Infosys and SBI are top gainers in the Sensex while Cipla, Vedanta, OnGC, HUL and Hindalco are among losers. Oil prices rebounded in Asian trade as traders covered short positions after prices fell at least 3 percent in the previous session, but gains were capped by worries about oversupply and the health of the global economy.

The Indian Stock market has become extremely volatile. The Sensex is up 35.15 points at 25731.59 and the Nifty is up 6.40 points at 7792.25. About 846 shares have advanced, 480 shares declined, and 64 shares are unchanged. ITC, Sun Pharma, Axis Bank, Lupin and TCS are top gainers while Hero, ONGC, Tata Steel, Vedanta and Maruti are losers in the Sensex.
After sharp cuts yesterday, the market has opened higher. The Sensex is up 148.78 points or 0.6 percent at 25845.22 and the Nifty is up 44.20 points or 0.6 percent at 7830.05. About 570 shares have advanced, 135 shares declined, and 34 shares are unchanged. Lupin, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma and Hindalco are top gainers in the Sensex.
Among the losers are Hero, ONGC, Bajaj Auto, NTPC and Tata Motors. The Indian rupee declined in early trade. It has opened lower by 10 paise at 66.32 per dollar against 66.22 a dollar on Tuesday. Crude prices declined sharply with Nymex crude sliding to 44 dollars a barrel. Also a report showed US crude stocks rose last week. In the precious metals space, gold prices remained steady at around USD 1130 an ounce.

Today Intraday Stock Tips; Sensex, Nifty continues to rise

The Intraday market continues to rally with support from metals, auto and FMCG stocks. The Sensex is up 196.09 points or 0.7 percent at 28855.26, and the Nifty up 50.55 points or 0.6 percent at 8750.50. About 1555 shares have advanced, 1062 shares declined, and 182 shares are unchanged.
Jindal Stainless is up 17 percent after India’s trade ministry has recommended anti-dumping duty on hot rolled flat products of stainless steel imports. Other steel companies are also on the rise on hopes that the anti-dumping duty may be extended to steel imports as well. NTPC, Hindalco, Tata Motors, ITC and Tata Steel are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are HUL, Bajaj Auto, Dr Reddy's Labs, Cipla and Wipro.
It is a strong day of trade on Dalal Street. The Nifty and the Sensex bounced back led by gains in select FMCG and energy stocks. The broader markets outperformed benchmarks, up 1 percent with the advance decline ratio at a healthy 3:1. The Sensex jumped 172.88 points to 28832.05 and the Nifty rallied 49.25 points to 8749.20. NTPC rallied nearly 4 percent as the company announced the ex-date of bonus debentures as March 23.
