The Indian Share market wiped out all its early gains due to profit booking in healthcare and heavyweights like Infosys, Reliance Industries & ITC. The Sensex shed 75.36 points to 28632.39 and the Nifty fell 28.80 points to 8685.60. The broader markets too followed the same trend. About 955 shares have advanced, 822 shares declined, and 139 shares are unchanged on the BSE.
Pharma sector stocks dropped. Sun Pharma and Lupin fell over 2 percent. Bank of America Merrill Lynch downgraded Sun Pharma to underperform from buy and Lupin, Cipla & Cadila to neutral from buy. The brokerage said some stocks in sector may be priced to perfection with less room for error. Dr Reddy's Labs and Cipla declined 1-2 percent. Inox Wind listed with 24 percent premium at Rs 401 on the National Stock Exchange compared to issue price of Rs 325 apiece.
The Intraday Stock market came off day's high. The Sensex rose 43.32 points to 28751.07 and the Nifty advanced 8.15 points to 8722.55 but the broader markets continued to outperform. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 0.6 percent each. More than two shares advanced for every share declining on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The Indian rupee has opened marginally higher at 62.16 per dollar today against 62.24 Wednesday.

Sensex, Nifty, Midcap extend rally :-
The Indian Stock Market extended gains in noon trade, supported by technology, auto, FMGC, select banks & oil stocks. Positive momentum in Asia too lent support to the market. The Sensex climbed 178.66 points to 28695.25 and the Nifty jumped 52.60 points to 8712.90 while the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 1-1.6 percent.
About 1630 shares have advanced, 752 shares declined, and 171 shares are unchanged on the Bombay Stock Exchange. Coal India continued to see buying interest, rising more than 5 percent. The S&P BSE Sensex rallied over 200 points in trade on Wednesday to reclaim its psychological level of 28700, led by gains in Infosys BSE 1.60 %, RILBSE 3.05 %, Coal India, TCSBSE 1.97 % and ITCBSE 1.45 %.
Tracking the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index was also trading above its crucial psychological level of 8700, supported by gains in consumer durable, FMCG, IT, metal and oil & gas stocks.Besides, lowering of base rates by SBI, ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank influenced trading sentiments, they added.
Among other Asian markets, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was up by 1.71 percent, while Japan's Nikkei gained 0.45 percent in early trade.The Indian market continued to see buying interest led by Reliance Industries. Technology, FMCG and banks also supported the market.

The Indian stock market gained further in early trade ahead of RBI policy. The Sensex rose 81.51 points to 28585.97 and the Nifty advanced 16.70 points to 8676.60. About 594 shares have advanced, 135 shares declined, and 88 shares are unchanged on the BSE.
Sun Pharma, Reliance Industries, HDFC, Tata Power, ONGC, Cipla, Cairn India, NMDC and Tech Mahindra gained 0.6-1 percent while BHEL, Dr Reddy's Labs, HDFC Bank, BPCL, Power Grid Corp, GAIL and Idea Cellular declined.
The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 62.22 per dollar on Tuesday versus 62.18 Monday. The dollar firmed in trade having recovered almost all of its losses as the euro came under renewed pressure. Indian markets are expected to trade in a range on Tuesday tracking muted trend seen in other Asian markets.
Technically, Nifty cleared immediate resistance of 8630 level and closed above that level. Now Index has an immediate support placed at 8580 - 8530 range.Indian markets closed on higher note ahead of RBI policy to be announced on 7 April. On sectorial front Pharma and FMCG sector outperformed while Banking and Infra sector were stable in market.

Online Stock Tips; Sensex, Nifty volatile in Today Market


The Indian Stock market remained lacklustre but the broader markets continued their strong performance. The Sensex rose 18.67 points to 28278.81 and the Nifty advanced 3.10 points to 8589.35. The BSE Midcap index gained 0.7 percent and Smallcap rallied over a percent. More than two shares advanced for every share declining on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Equity benchmarks continued to consolidate in morning trade after seeing strong uptrend last week. Banking & financials and technology stocks saw profit booking while pharma, auto and FMCG stocks gained. The Sensex fell 21.52 points to 28238.62 and the Nifty declined 7.25 points to 8579. However, the broader markets outperformed benchmarks with the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rising 0.5 percent and 0.8 percent, respectively.
About 1175 shares have advanced, 610 shares declined, and 125 shares are unchanged on the Bombay Stock Exchange. HDFC topped the selling list, down 2 percent followed by HDFC Bank, Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, SBI and Tata Steel with 0.5-1 percent. Technology stocks like TCS and Infosys declined 0.2 percent ahead of fourth quarter earnings next week.
