HUL is up 1 percent while Adani Ports, Dr Reddy's Labs, Tata Steel and Maruti are top gainers while Hindalco, Tata Motors, Bharti Airtel, NTPC and ONGC are losers in the Sensex.
        The Indian rupee opened lower by 8 paise at 66.66 per dollar on Tuesday versus previous close of 66.58.
         Asia markets traded mixed, with the Japanese benchmark index leading gains in early trade, ahead of Chinese inflation data due later on Tuesday.
         US stocks closed mixed in high-volume trade, with the Dow Jones industrial average was down 0.2 percent, the S&P 500 closed up 0.08 percent and the Nasdaq composite added 0.3 percent.

Intraday Equity Market Tips Updates; Nifty struggles below 7750

The Intraday market continues to slip further as the Sensex is down 302.72 points or 1.2 percent at 25416.86 and the Nifty is down 101.30 points or 1.3 percent at 7717.30. About 487 shares have advanced, 1508 shares declined, and 53 shares are unchanged. TCS is up 1 percent while Hindalco, HUL, SBI, Vedanta and ONGC are major laggards in the Sensex.

The Indian rupee trimmed its initial losses but was still down by 20 paise to 66.61 against the greenback on weak domestic equities and sustained dollar demand from importers amid higher dollar overseas. The domestic unit gave up its overnight gains and resumed sharply lower at 66.72 per dollar as against yesterday's level of 66.41 at the Interbank Foreign Exchange (Forex) market.

The stock market rebounded sharply led by short covering in banking & financials, capital goods, auto and select oil stocks after falling for previous seven sessions. The Sensex gained 234.15 points or 0.88 percent at 26715.40 and the Nifty climbed 70.40 points or 0.88 percent to 8092.80. Vedanta, Tata Steel, HUL and GAIL are major losers in the Sensex. SBI, Bharti and Sun Pharma are up 2 percent while L&T and BHEL are top gainers in the Sensex.
The broader markets outperformed benchmarks with the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rising 1.2 percent and 1 percent, respectively. About 1307 shares have advanced, 427 shares declined, and 96 shares are unchanged on the BSE. Tata Power, BHEL, Bharti, SBI and Axis Bank are top gainers while Tata Motors, Cipla and GAIL are among laggards in the Sensex. European market closed lower while Asia is mixed in morning trade.
