Today in Intraday Market the S&P BSE Sensex opened on a cautious note on Wednesday, but managed to rally as much as 117 points in trade, led by gains in ITC, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank BSE 0.84 %, Coal India and L&T. Tracking the momentum, the 50-share Nifty index also rallied over 30 points to touch its intraday high of 8840.75. According to experts, the index may face resistance around its crucial resistance level of 8850.
The Indian rupee opened flat at 62.20 per dollar against 62.16 Monday. The euro rebounds helped by a bounce in German investor sentiment and hopes that Greece will find a common ground with its euro zone partners for support beyond its current bailout programmed.
Asian markets, however, are smartly in the green with the Nikkei surging to new eight-year highs as the yen weakened to 119.1. Trading volumes in Asia will be light ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday. Singapore, Malaysia markets will be open for half a day while China, Taiwan and South Korea will be shut today.
In commodities, Brent Crude hit a 2015 high of USD 63 per barrel in trade on Tuesday. It is currently trading at around USD 62 per barrel. Precious metals gold and silver fell to six-week lows, while platinum fell to the lowest since 2009, on signs that Greek banks will continue to get emergency funding despite a breakdown in debt talks between their government and euro zone partners.

Sensex up 300 pts; ICICI, HDFC, ITC, Tata Motors lead :-
The Intraday market continued to see buying interest, rising 1 percent following a surprise repo rate cut. Banking & financials, auto, realty and capital goods supported the market. The Sensex rose 308.80 points to 29902.53 and the Nifty climbed 83.25 points to 9079.50. Two shares advanced for every share declining on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Bank Nifty jumped 2 percent. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, State Bank of India and Axis Bank gained 1-2 percent.Tata Motors topped the buying list on Sensex, up 2.4 percent as US sales of Jaguar Land Rover increased 14 percent year-on-year to 6,327 units in February. FMCG major ITC also led support to the market, up 2 percent.
Record high: Sensex hits 30000, Nifty at 9100 on RBI move :-
The Reserve Bank of India signaled that it was convinced by the fiscal consolidation measures announced in the Budget. The RBI has kept the cash reserve ratio (CRR) unchanged at 4 percent.The RBI's surprise rate cut of 25 basis points (bps) powers the Bulls with the Sensex scaling 30000.

Sensex opens on a cautious note; Intraday indices were highly volatile in early trade. The barometer index, the S&P BSE Sensex was currently off 32.64 points or 0.11% at 29,426.50. The Intraday market breadth indicating the overall health of the market was strong. Mahindra & Mahindra dropped after reporting poor auto sales in February 2015. Asian stock markets were mixed today, 3 March 2015.
The S&P BSE Sensex slipped as much as 76 points in trade on Tuesday following muted trend seen in other Asian markets. The fall in the index was led by losses in Coal India, ITC, Tata Motors, ICICI Bank BSE -0.69 % and M&M. In today Market the 30-share index was at 29407.62, down 51 points or 0.17 per cent. It touched a high of 29502.62 and a low of 29381.17 in trade today.
The Nifty was at 8945 down 12 points or 0.13 per cent. It touched a high of 8966.10 and a low of 8926.10 in trade today. The S&P BSE Midcap Index was up 0.35 per cent and BSE S&P Smallcap Index edged higher by 0.30 per cent.Among commodities, Brent crude posted its biggest drop in a month yesterday, down 5 percent. In precious metals space, gold prices slip marginally to USD 1207 per ounce.

Nifty hits 8950, Sensex strong: After closing strong on Budget day, the market has once again opened firmly on Monday. The Sensex is up 177.98 points or 0.6 percent at 29539.48 and the Nifty is up 52.75 points or 0.6 percent at 8954.60. About 439 shares have advanced, 89 shares declined, and 102 shares are unchanged.
The Indian rupee opened marginally lower at 61.89 per dollar versus 61.83 Friday. The euro trades around fresh one-month lows early in a subdued start to the week, while an interest rate cut in China over the weekend gives commodity currencies only a slight boost.Shares of ITC slipped another 3 percent unable to gulp down the excise duty hike on cigarettes proposed by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in Budget 2015.
Excise duty on cigarettes is increased by 25 percent for cigarettes of length not exceeding 65 mm and by 15 percent for cigarettes of other lengths. Last year the excise duty hike was at 22 percent. This is the fourth successive year of more than 18 percent hike in duty.
In commodities, Nymex crude trades below the USD 50 per barrel while Brent crude is steady above USD 62 per barrel. From precious metals space, gold prices rise to USD 1215 an ounce but gains are capped given a steady dollar.
