 Today Market Outlook:-

  • The market started off week on a flat-to-positive note. The Sensex rose 41.81 points to 24715.65 and the Nifty advanced 13.35 points to 7568.55.
  • The Indian rupee opened lower by 3 paise at 66.50 per dollar today against 66.47 Friday.
  • The trading range for the day is seen between 66.20-66.80/dollar.
  • Bharti Airtel topped buying list on Sensex, up 3.11 percent after acquisition of 4G spectrum rights from Aircel for 8 circles for Rs 3,500 crore.
  • Adani Ports, Tata Motors and Idea Cellular were other gainers while Infosys, Cipla, M&M, HDFC, Tata Steel, Asian Paints, Wipro and BPCL were losers.
  • BHEL rose 1.6 percent after a media report indicated that NTPC’s Bangla JV awarded EPC contract to company for USD 2.4 billion. Sun Pharma was up 1.44 percent on USFDA approval for BromSite.

Indian stocks are likely to start in the red, tracking weakness in oil prices that bogged down both Wall Street overnight and Asian markets this morning, even as markets head into a key RBI meeting where a rate cut is but a foregone conclusion.
At the time of writing, the SGX Nifty was trading 0.65 percent, or 50 points, to 7,735 points.
        Traders say there will likely be volatility today, with 95 percent of analysts polled by CNBC-TV18 expecting a rate cut by the Reserve Bank. The decision will be due at 11 am.
in light of the Union Budget where the government stuck to its fiscal deficit target and its recent decision to cut the small savings rate, some analysts have said a 25 basis point cut may not be enough and even be disappointing for the markets.
the US dollar fell against the yen, Nymex fell to a one-month low while gold steady.
       ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, ONGC, M&M, Hindalco, Bank of Baroda, GAIL and Idea Cellular were early losers, down 1-1.5 percent while BPCL, Power Grid Corp, Dr Reddy's Labs and HCL Tech were gainers.

Market News:-
The market has started on positive note Monday. The Sensex is up 60.76 points or 0.2 percent at 25013.50, and the Nifty is up 14.85 points or 0.2 percent at 7619.20. About 346 shares have advanced, 110 shares declined, and 37 shares are unchanged.
        SBI, GAIL, Lupin, Sun Pharma and Wipro are top gainers while Hero, Adani Ports, Dr Reddy's Labs, Infosys and Maruti are losers in the Sensex.
          The Indian rupee opened marginally higher at 66.45 per dollar versus 66.50 Friday.
         After investors survey, Ridham Desai of Morgan Stanley s ays investors bullishness on Indian stocks has come off even as investors remain overweight on India.
          Shares of ITC rose 2 percent intraday. Credit Suisse maintains its outperform rating on ITC, stating that it can rejoice as most states have not hiked value added tax on cigarettes in Budget.

Intraday Market Today's Overview; Nifty ends at 7109


Coal India, SBI, Bajaj Auto, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank were top losers in the Sensex 

Market Outlook:- 

  • The market has ended lower after the 50-share indices slipped below 7100. The Sensex skid 378.61 points or 1.6 percent at 23410.18 and the Nifty slipped 125 points or 1.7 percent at 7109.55. About 723 shares have advanced, 1883 shares declined, and 142 shares are unchanged.
  • Coal India, SBI, Bajaj Auto, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank were top losers in the Sensex. Motherson Sumi Systems shares tanked 6 percent intraday to hit a 52-week low of Rs 207.10 on Tuesday after promoters created fresh pledge of shares.
  • Promoter Samvardhana Motherson International (SMIL), on February 12, created pledge on 62 lakh shares (representing 0.47 percent equity stake of total paid up equity capital) with IDBI Trusteeship Services.
  • The auto ancillary company said it is in addition to non-convertible debentures issued by SMIL.
