Today the Indian share market recouped early losses, led by short covering in FMCG, Pharma and oil stocks. The Sensex gained 78.05 points at 28260.19 and the Nifty rose 23.30 points to 8552.75. The broader markets also gained with the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices up over 0.4 percent.
About 1054 shares have advanced, 637 shares declined, and 106 shares are unchanged on the Bombay Stock Exchange. The Sensex gained 132.30 points or 0.47 percent at 28314.44 and the Nifty rose 37.50 points or 0.44 percent to 8566.95. About 1269 shares have advanced, 649 shares declined, and 118 shares are unchanged on the BSE.
Sun Pharma and Hindustan Unilever rebounded sharply on short covering, up 2 percent each. Sun Pharma issued profit warning for FY16 on Monday and HUL disappointed street on bottom line front. Shares of HDFC, Reliance Industries, M&M, ONGC, Bajaj Auto and Cipla gained 0.9-1.6 percent.

Today Stock Market Tips | Live Equity Trading Tips

The Stock market entered into a consolidation mode after pricing in China equity rout and Greece crisis. It is eagerly waiting April-June quarter earnings that will be kicked off by TCS today evening. The Sensex fell 32.07 points to 27655.65 and the Nifty declined 12.15 points to 8350.90. The market breadth remained strong as more than two shares advanced for every share declining on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The equity market recovers quickly after a slow start. The Sensex is up 101.27 points at 27788.99, and the Nifty up 35.15 points or 0.4 percent at 8398.20. About 815 shares have advanced, 198 shares declined, and 71 shares are unchanged. Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, L&T, Coal India and Lupin are top gainers while Vedanta, Bajaj Auto, HDFC Bank, TCS and Tata Motors are down in the Sensex.
Tata Motors lost another 2 percent, in addition to 6 percent fall in previous session on fears of slowdown in China sales of its subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover. However, L&T, Bharti Airtel, Lupin, BHEL and Hero Motocorp gained 1-3 percent. The stock listed at Rs 300 on the National Stock Exchange against issue price of Rs 320 apiece. It touched an intraday high of Rs 318.45 and low of Rs 285.70. It lost as much as 10.7 percent intraday.

After an initial bout of recovery, the Indian share market slipped away further with sharp losses. The Sensex is down 405.65 points or 1.4 percent at 27766.04, and the Nifty plunged 131.55 points or 1.6 percent at 8379.25. About 728 shares have advanced, 1449 shares declined, and 123 shares are unchanged. HUL and Wipro are in green in the Sensex.
Vedanta, Tata Motors and Hindalco are down 5-7 percent while Tata Steel and BHEL are other laggards in the Sensex. Gold prices slipped below Rs 26,000 mark by falling Rs 51 in futures trade on Wednesday after the precious metal plunged to over three-month lows in global market. Globally, gold was trading lower at USD 1,153.72 an ounce in Singapore today from USD 1,155.26 a day earlier.
