The Intraday market opened on a flat note but in red trajectory. The Sensex ended down 16.81 points at 24217.34, and the Nifty was down 5.70 points at 7229.95. About 1561 shares have advanced, 1406 shares declined, and 131 shares are unchanged. HUL was up 7 percent, followed by NTPC, M&M, Sun Pharma and Tata Power. After the bruises on Tuesday, the intraday market has opened on a flat note. The Sensex is up 42.10 points at 24591.61, and the Nifty is up 6.95 points at 7324.95. About 417 shares have advanced, 121 shares declined, and 30 shares are unchanged. 

BHEL, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, NTPC and Wipro are top gainers in the Sensex. Coal India, Sesa Sterlite, ONGC, ITC and M&M are major laggards in the Sensex. The Indian rupee has opened flat at 59.02 a dollar as against previous day's closing value of 59.04 a dollar.
Precious metal gold’s prices slipped 2 percent to a 3.5 month low, extending losses after strong data lifted optimism about the economy.Shares of Jet Airways crashed over 9 percent intraday as the carrier reported its highest-ever annual loss in FY14. Registering a fifth straight quarterly loss, the airline’s March quarter net loss stood at Rs 2,153 crore as high expenses and adverse operating conditions dragged its earnings.

The Intraday market has opened on a higher note as the Sensex is up 104.14 points at 22550.58, and the Nifty is up 36.55 points at 6757.60. About 345 shares have advanced, 53 shares declined, and 13 shares are unchanged. Bharti Airtel, SBI, HDFC Bank, Hindalco and Infosys are top gainers in the Sensex. Among the losers are Axis Bank and Sun Pharma.

The Indian rupee opened with a marginal gain of 9 paise at 59.82 per dollar on Wednesday as against previous day's closing value of 59.91 a dollar. Asian Intraday markets are trading high with Shanghai Composite up 0.23 percent, Nikkei gaining 1.55 percent and Seoul Composite inching higher by 0.25 percent.
In commodities, Nymex crude slipped toward USD 99, trading near the lowest in one and a half weeks, as investors eyed government inventories data to assess fuel demand.  From precious metals space, gold is hovering around its 7-week lows after firm US economic data lifted Wall Street stocks.
