Today in Intraday Market the Nifty is back above the 6500,
up 100.75 points or 1.57 percent to 6501.90 while the Sensex climbed 329.98
points or 1.53 percent to 21843.85. About 1225 shares have advanced, 1293
shares declined, and 146 shares are unchanged.
The NSE benchmark Nifty finally took out the 6500 level on
Friday for the first time, on the back of strong and consistent FII inflows. Thermax fell 2.90% to Rs 734 at 13:57 IST on BSE on profit booking after the
stock jumped 9.92% in the preceding three trading sessions to Rs 755.95 on
Friday. Meanwhile, the BSE Sensex was up 377.17 points, or 1.75%, to 21,891.04.On
BSE, so far 4,181 shares were traded in the counter, compared with an average
volume of 7,943 shares in the past one quarter.
