
The BSE index rose over 1 percent to 21,002.50, marking it highest
intraday level since November 2010, while the broader NSE index gained more
than 1 percent to 6,243.90.The rupee has opened flat at 61.57 per dollar on
Thursday as against previous day's closing of 61.59. The dollar edged higher
this morning, but was hemmed in its recent range as investors remain cautious
about liquidity conditions in China.
In
Asia, Asian stocks are cautious before china PMI data today. Last month, the
final HSBC PMI reading came in at 50.2 - significantly below the flash estimate
of 51.2. Japan and China were under some pressure on Wednesday. Among
commodities, US oil prices tumble after government data showed a surprisingly
large increase in crude supplies. From precious metals space; gold prices lower
